금성인이 배운 것

 

The Venusians also found peace of mind when they finally understood that a Martian going into his cave was not a sign that he didn't love her as much.

금성인들도 마침내 남자가 그녀를 사랑하지 않기 때문에 동굴에 가는 것이 아님을 이해했을 때, 평화를 찾을 수 있었습니다.

 

They learned to be more accepting of him at these times because he was experiencing a lot of stress.

그들은 그가 큰 스트레스를 느끼고 있기 때문에 그를 더 받아줘야 한다는 것을 배웠습니다. 

 

The Venusians were not offended when Martians were easily distracted.

금성인들은 화성인들이 쉽게 주의를 딴데로 돌리더라도, 불쾌해 하지 않았습니다. 

 

When a Venusian talked and a Martian became distracted, she would very politely stop talking, stand there, and wait for him to notice.

금성인이 얘기를 하고 화성인들이 산만한 상황일 때 그녀는 예의 바르게 대화를 멈추고 서서는 그가 알아차리기를 기다립니다.

 

Then she would begin talking again. She understood that sometimes it was hard for him to give his full attention.

그리고 그녀는 다시 대화를 시작합니다. 그녀는 가끔 그가 온전히 주위를 기울이기 어려울 수 있다는 것을 이해했습니다. 

 

The Venusians discovered that by asking for the Martians' attention in a relaxed and accepting manner the Martians were happy to redirect their attention.

금성인들은 화성인에게 편안하고 부드러운 자세로 그에게 관심을 가져줄 것을 부탁 한다면 화성인들도 기꺼이 그들의 관심을 그녀에게 돌릴 수 있다는 것을 알게되었습니다. 

 

When the Martians were completely preoccupied and in their caves, the Venusians also did not take it personally.

화성인들이 그들의 동굴에서 완전히 정신이 팔려있을 때, 금성인들은 감정적으로 받아들이지 않았습니다.

 

They learned that this was not the time to have intimate conversations but a time to talk about problems with their friends or have fun and go shopping.

그들은 지금은 친밀한 대화를 할 시기가 아니라, 친구들과 문제에 대해 이야기 하거나, 즐거운 시간을 갖고, 쇼핑을 할 시간임을 배웠습니다. 

 

When the Martians thereby felt loved and accepted, the Venusians discovered that the Martians would more quickly come out of their caves.

금성인들은, 화성인들이 사랑받고 있고 인정받는다 느끼면, 그들의 동굴에서 더 빨리 나올 수 있음도 깨달았습니다.
